We are delighted to announce that Horsham District Council has been awarded the Local Authority Small Business Friendly Award by Federation of Small Businesses, (FSB), in recognition of the vital role it plays in supporting small businesses.

The Business Development Team submitted an entry for Microbiz and Microbiz Masterclasses and Horsham Food & Drink Festival and The Big Nibble.  Horsham District Council was one of 4 Local Authorities to win an award in the West Sussex and Surrey FSB area heat.

The panel judging the submitted projects said “Microbiz is an excellent example of a Council that has listened and responded to the needs of their local business community.  With many small businesses suffering as a result of the tough economic conditions, Microbiz is increasingly seen by small business owners as a vital marketing opportunity that opens up access to new markets for their products and services. The additional Microbiz training Masterclasses enable business owners to take their enterprise to the next level.”
